1:1 Mentoring

What is a Youth Mentor?

A youth mentor is someone who is trained in holding a nurturing, positive space for young people in a way that will help them develop:

Many teenagers have lived their entire lives without encountering an authentic adult. They know there’s something missing in the grown-ups. Each session lasts for 60 minutes and draws inspiration from aspects of Social Emotional Learning, Positive Psychology, and Mindful Self-Compassion. Regardless of age, all my sessions focus on inculcating the following concepts, along with specific concerns:

1:1 mentoring sessions work best as a 12 week series but they can be increased or decreased based on what is required. While each session is confidential, I do work closely with the parent to understand how the learning is settling for the child, and to know about further areas of concern.

A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.

Why choose me as the mentor for your child?

Through personal struggles and professional training, I have developed skills that help me connect and communicate with young people. As a highly sensitive person, I deeply empathize with the issues that young people face, and at the same time, I have the objectivity to hold space for them and guide them towards a sweeter way of living. With a background in Psychology, Philosophy, and mindfulness, I help kids develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience.
